Two recruiter calls, a reworked resume, and a reminder that job hunting is something you experiment your way through, not something you write once.
Day 9 felt better than Day 8.
The job search is starting to feel a little more time-sensitive now. With the festival season approaching, I'm targeting the next month as an important window to get through this process. Hiring can slow down around the holiday period, so I want to make the most of the opportunities available right now.
And today, I saw a small positive sign.
I received two recruiter calls.
One of the things I changed was my resume. I went back through it, changed the formatting, adjusted some sections, and tried to make the overall presentation clearer. I'm not claiming that I've found the perfect resume yet, but I'm starting to understand that job hunting requires experimentation.
What works on one platform or with one recruiter may not necessarily work somewhere else.
So rather than treating the resume as something I write once and forget about, I'm treating it as something I can continuously improve — while keeping everything honest and aligned with the experience I actually have.
The goal is simple: get noticed by the right recruiters and hiring managers.
On the preparation side, today was also better. I completed a few system design questions and was able to focus much more than I did yesterday. That felt important after Day 8, where I struggled just to sit down and study.
Now the challenge is to maintain this momentum.
Day 7 gave me the targets for the week. Day 8 reminded me that the process isn't always easy. And Day 9 showed me that small changes can start producing small results.
I'm still far from the finish line.
But that's the point of this journey — one adjustment, one interview, one learning, and one step at a time.
