Less about studying, more about getting noticed — optimizing profiles, exploring startups, and building the pipeline.
Day 3 of the job hunt was less about studying and more about getting noticed.
I spent most of the day looking at IC and early-stage startups, optimizing my LinkedIn profile, and figuring out how to increase my visibility to recruiters. After spending a long time focused on my actual job, I realized that finding the next one also requires understanding how recruiters discover candidates.
I started experimenting with my profiles—updating information, improving my resume, adding my website and projects, and trying different ways to present my experience. The idea is fairly simple: instead of just applying everywhere, I want to make my profile strong enough that recruiters can discover me as well.
I'm treating this almost like an experiment. Make a change, give it some time, see what happens, and then adjust.
I also spent time exploring newer startups and looking at how modern companies present their products and engineering work. That gave me ideas for how I want to present my own projects and portfolio.
Alongside that, a few companies had already started sending assessments. Most of the frontend assessments are relatively comfortable for me, but I still have some backend and coding assessments pending.
So Day 3 wasn't about solving a huge number of problems or putting in a massive number of study hours.
It was about building the pipeline.
Preparing myself, improving my visibility, exploring companies, and getting ready for the assessments that are starting to come in.
I'm still very early in this journey, and I don't know which of these experiments will actually work.
But that's becoming part of the process.
Try something. Measure what happens. Learn. Adjust. Repeat.
